Award winning artist Jolene Scott is a gifted self-taught artist. Since childhood she's had a pencil or brush in hand, constantly drawing and painting everything around her, especially animals. Horses gallop through many of her canvases.
Since she was a teenager Jolene has started young horses, given lessons, trained barrel horses and spent thousands of hours translating that experience to her artwork. Her skillful rendering of horses performing at their peak captures the bond between horses and competitors, breathing life into the paintings and capturing split-second moments in fast-moving rodeo events.
Her paintings are a joy to see, every fine hair and each taut muscle described beautifully. Viewers say they feel like they can step right into the paintings.
Clark county born and raised, she loves the beauty of the area and wakes up inspired every day, rain or shine. She is the mother of three wonderful girls who often model for her paintings.
